Having a basic understanding of anatomy is crucial to being an effective Pilates teacher but lets take that one step further and expand your knowledge of muscles and bones in movement. We'll create an anatomical foundation first then introduce Pilates specific physiology. This course will enhance your understanding of the actions created in the muscular and skeletal systems during a Pilates session. 3CEC

Irvine, CA · CPR: Heartsaver AED for Adults, Children and Infants · 1-5pm · $65

Become CPR certified with an AHA Certified BLS instructor. This course follows all American Heart Association Guidelines for Basic Life Support, and will cover Adult and Pediatric CPR and AED use. This course is designed for the lay responder (not Healthcare providers) and should satisfy most requirements for certifications and licenses in the health clinic or fitness center. Certification cards will be provided and are good for 2 years. CPR is required with your PMA membership.

We all know that when you stop moving your quality of life dies, but that doesn't mean it can't be resuscitated. When you hurt yourself, your basic ability to function is restricted. Lisamay's personal health challenge along with Djuna's physical therapy background will help you as a Pilates teacher to understand where the restrictions occur and how to remove them. In this class, we'll take an anatomical approach to demystify how to safely instruct a client with specific types of injuries and post surgical issues such as rotator cuff tears, total joint replacements, ACL, SI dysfunction, and bulging discs. Literature will be passed out. 3CEC
